Baby Swim

It is never too early to start swimming lessons with your baby! Our 30 minute parent accompanied classes provide babies with water confidence, safety skills and propulsive skills. They are great for parent child bonding while improving coordination, balance, core strength and social skills. We have 5 different levels to fit your child's experience and age.

Goals for each level include:

TADPOLES 

  • Free float 2 to 3 feet underwater

  • Hold breath for 5 seconds underwater

  • Jump from sitting on a ledge

  • Hold on to parent's body and climb up to recover

GUPPIES 1 

  • Hold breath for 4-5 seconds underwater

  • Kick and paddle and swim 2-3 feet underwater

  • Hold on to wall and more along wall with minimal help

  • Perform back floating with support

GUPPIES 2

  • Hold breath for 8-10 seconds underwater

  • Kick and paddle and swim 4-5 feet underwater

  • Hold on to wall and climbs up independently

  • Perform underwater turns without help

DOLPHINS 1

  • Kick and paddle for 4 feet underwater

  • Hold on to wall, moves along wall and climbs up independently

  • Performs underwater turns independently

DOLPHINS 2

  • Swims 2m underwater with strong kicks and pulling arms

  • Back float independently with noodle

  • Performs a sitting dive from high wall

  • Performs underwater turns and swims back to wall and climbs out

  • Retrieves toys from bottom of pool with some help
