Meet the Team

Michael 

Michael is our Head Coach and he is a talented and enthusiastic swim coach who has spent the last decade working with babies, children, teens and adults in South East Asia. With a pedagogy that focuses on delivering fun and engaging lessons, that target the individual needs of each swimmer, Michael develops holistic swimmers with strong fundamentals that progress into technically good swimmers that understand the importance of hard work, accountability and teamwork.

Carol 

Carol hails from Brazil and has been teaching swimming for 5 years now. She works full time at Aquabubs juggling her time between teaching swimming and in charge of scheduling and customer service.

Kai Xin

Kai Xin first became interested in baby swimming when she started teaching her own sons and in 2016 she decided to professionally certify with Austswim as well as undertake a diploma in early childhood education. She applies her experience and knowledge in her baby and infant swim classes using engaging and developmentally appropriate exercises

Harry 

Harry lives in Klang and has been teaching swimming for the past 5 years and is Austswim and CPR certified. In his spare time he plays badminton, crafts and likes online gaming.

 

Candy
Candy

Candy hails from Kuching and prior to moving to KL she was a full time pharmacist based in the UK. She loves swimming and was an International Lifesaver when she was in college. She is a Mum to 3 boys and it was her eldest son's extreme fear of water that motivated her to become a swim teacher. She is Austswim certified and teaches part time with Aquabubs.

Anwar

Anwar is from Penang and has been teaching swimming for 13 years in Malaysia and the UK. “The role of being a Learn to Swim teacher is an incredibly rewarding one. I love the improvements in confidence and skill, big or small, each student achieves week to week. I believe that learning to be a confident, aware and safe swimmer is incredibly important and a vital life skill.

 

Aisyah

Aisyah hails from Perak originally and has travelled and lived in France and all over Malaysia. She has been teaching and coaching for the past 2.5 years and feels passionate about it. She loves to swim and in her spare time, she trains for hours in the pool and gym. She hopes to join a Masters Swimming Championship someday and try out open water swimming. She also has a big appetite for sandwiches, all types!

Kimberlyn

Kimberlyn is from KL and she was both a competitive and synchronised swimmer. She has been teaching swimming for 5 years now. She is also a certified judge for synchronised swimming events. WIth a degree in Mass Communication she works in advertising and teaches swimming part-time. 

Hafiz

Hafiz is from Port Dickson and having grown up by the sea, he has always had a love for water. He took his AustSwim certification in 2018 and teaches the learn to swim classes. 

“I love working with children and watching them grow as individuals through swimming. Helping them with their technique and watching them get satisfaction out of improving themselves is something I really enjoy"

Nora

Nora is from Sungai Petani and has been teaching swimming for 2 years. With a MSTA certification in teaching children with disabilties, she specializes in teaching private classes to children with Autism. While not teaching swimming, her hobbies include reading and snorkelling.
